Guerrilla gardening - Propagating the seeds of change

In the evening of April 6th @ kingsbooks, Tacoma's largest independent community oriented bookstore, will be a workshop on Guerrilla Gardening. Guerrilla Gardening is a non-violent often political form of gardening. That has been practiced across history and the globe. If you want more info come to the workshop.

Permibus Potluck & Skills Tour

Permibus @ Center for Spiritual Living

Sustainable Tacoma Pierce working together with the center for spiritual living to host the Permibus. Permaculture Demonstration Bus (Permibus) is traveling the country to offer education and resources to any and all interested in cultivating Revolutionary Ways of Living in their own lives and in their communities. The Permibus crew provides empowered learning to individuals, groups, and youth in order to develop a community skill base that supports social change activism, ecological awareness, and economically sustainable patterns of living.
COST: Suggested donation of $5. No one turned away for lack of funds.

Wildcrafting, Tacoma

Wildcrafting @ Swan Creek

Sustainable Tacoma Pierce will be leading a Wildcrafting event in Swan Creek Park, sponsored by Metro Parks. The event will be led by Permaculture Instructor, Kelda Miller of Divine Earth Gardening Project, Mark Smythe, Wilderness Awareness Trained, and Tom McGuire, Permaculture Certified. You will leave the event with the ability to recognize various edible plants that grow wild in the South Sound area.
